Buffered Vitamin C (Jarrow) Each bottle, 100 tablets. Each tablet contains 500 mg of calcium ascorbate plus 250 mg bioflavonoids. Calcium ascorbate is vitamin C bound to calcium which has a few advantages. Calcium is good for bones (though there isn't that much in this.) More importantly, this form is easier on the stomach and less acidic.
In addition, the bioflavonoids and their metabolites, such as quercetin, naringenin and hesperidin, are potent antioxidants derived from plants (polyphenolic compounds). They can help to minimize or reduce free radical damage and also help improve capillary strength, although more clinical data are needed. Double check your med list for interactions with vitamin C.
Other ingredients include cellulose, stearic acid (vegetable source), modified cellulose gum, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate (vegetable source).
No wheat, gluten, soy, dairy, egg, fish/shellfish, nuts/tree nuts; suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
